(1739 - 1757)  Ottoman sultan from 1754 till 1757

       Osman was an insignificant ruler, who stayed in power for less than 3 years, from he was 15 until 18 years old. He is mainly noted for his strange attitudes; he hated music unlike the other sultans before and after him. He also wore iron shoes, in order to signal any woman in his way to disappear.
During his reign new regulations on Christians and Jews were imposed, commanding them to wear distinctive clothes or badges.

1754 December 13 Becomes sultan after the death of his brother, Sultan Mahmud 1.
1757 October 30: Dies.
